Anti Cancer a New Way of Life Book Review

This is a great book to have written by David Servan-Schreiber MD PhD  who had a cancerous brain tumor himself.

It is very well organized and easy to understand and has a ton of fantastic information in it backed up with scientific evidence.

Whether you know someone with cancer, you yourself have cancer or you are just wanting a strong cancer fighting diet to prevent it, this is a must read!

Using Nutrition as medicine in combination with modern medicine along with a few other alternatives such as meditation to reduce your stress, just may be the key to a better chance for survival or warding it off from ever happening in the first place.

Anyone trying to improve their nutrition from the poor western diet we tend to eat, should have this book on their shelves.!

A real gem of a book!

Book Review: The Unprocessed Child....

This is not a how to book, nor how to go about unschooling, rather this book brings out the journey of peaceful parenting and what that means. The author does a wonderful job explaining how she used a holistic peaceful approach and allowing the child freedoms that a typical American family usually does not follow.

Parenting from an authentic place, she led her daughter on a wonderful unschooling path where her daughter went on later to college after being unschooled her whole life. It is a wonderful read for anyone wanting to explore peaceful parenting roles with their children and how to approach an array of areas such as censorship, TV or video games, bedtimes and a whole lot more.

Well written and explained, an overall great read!

Book Review: Living Cuisine by Renee Loux

If you are new to the idea of Raw and Living foods, this book is a must for your home library! I could not be happier with this wonderful, easy to understand, really informative book.

Part 1 of the book covers the basics of why it is beneficial to eat raw foods, enzymes and transitioning to health.

Part 2 covers the Raw Food Pantry along with the equipment and tools for the kitchen

Part 3 is all about Raw Foods Preparation Techniques such as juicing, dehydration, steaming and balancing and developing flavors.

Part 4 are all of her wonderful sounding recipes that even had my 14 year old son saying YUM, when are we gonna try these?

I know this book will be getting read, used, read, used and on and on until the pages are so worn out it will become illegible to read.

I am not sure how useful it may be to an experienced Raw Foods cook but I know for those totally new to this concept or in the beginning stages this book could not be more useful and informing.
